From July to September, slightly cupped, single, soft pink flowers with a rose-pink reverse and golden stamens rise on wiry stems above the leaves; they are attractive to bees. This is a wonderfully easy perennial, needing no attention apart from cutting back in autumn, but be aware that it can run at the root, so choose your site carefully.
