Spring is the peak season for flowering shrubs of many varieties, it is a joy to see their colourful flowers unfold after a long, cold winter. Rhododendrons and azaleas (on acid soil) will carry their clusters of beautiful flowers into early summer. .

Potted shrubs are available all year, but the best selection, and the best time to plant, is in late spring (April to May) and early autumn (September to October).
