Availability and planting | September to November | February to March
The best time of year for planting bulbs is September to November (unless they are in-the-green), while they are dormant and before the ground freezes, with some exceptions:
- Spring-flowering bulbs: plant in September, except Tulips (November)
- Summer-flowering bulbs: plant in September and October
- Autumn-flowering bulbs: plant by September
- In-the-green bulbs: plant in February and March
