The fruit is medium-sized to large, with yellowish-green skin with a red-orange flush and a hint of pink. The flesh is cream-coloured, very crisp and sweet, although there is a hint of acidity. The tree is a spur-bearer, reliable, and a good cropper. Apple Honeycrisp is highly disease-resistant, particularly to scab, and is a good choice for organic growers. Self-sterile, so must be planted near an apple of the same or adjacent pollination group.

Site: Sheltered, sunny site
Soil: Fertile, well-drained, loamy soil, preferably slightly acid to neutral
Position: Full sun
Pick: October
Keep: Three months
Hardiness: Fully hardy
Pollination: Pollination Group 4
Uses: Eating

["Apple Trees","Bareroot","spur-bearer
"option1":"Bareroot","option2":"M26","option3":"1yr
["Bareroot","M26","1yr
["//future-forests.myshopify.com/cdn/shop/products/Honeycrisp01.jpg?v=1633346338","//future-forests.myshopify.com/cdn/shop/products/Honeycrisp02.jpg?v=1633346336","//future-forests.myshopify.com/cdn/shop/products/Honeycrisp03.jpg?v=1633346334","//future-forests.myshopify.com/cdn/shop/products/Honeycrisp04.jpg?v=1633346332
//future-forests.myshopify.com/cdn/shop/products/Honeycrisp01.jpg?v=1633346338
Type | Size","Rootstock","Details

Apple Honeycrisp

Bred in the US in the 1960s, late season dessert apple Malus domestica Honeycrisp is particularly suitable for colder areas with good sunshine. The apples are small to medium-sized, flat and irregularly shaped, pale greenish-yellow blushed orange-red with crimson streaking. The flesh is cream-coloured, crisp and juicy, with a good balance of sweetness and acidity. The flavour is outstanding for an early apple, aromatic with a hint of peach, and best eaten straight from the tree, as it does not keep. Apple Irish Peach is a fairly vigorous tree with a slightly weeping habit, very attractive in flower and when the fruit is ripe. The fruit is smaller than that of some cooking apples, slightly irregular in shape, and green with an orange-red flush; the juicy flesh has an excellent, sharp flavour, cooking down to a brisk, lemon-yellow purée. It is a compact tree, and a heavy and very reliable cropper. The fruit is medium to large, round, slightly flattened, and a clear yellowish-green; the flesh is crisp, tart and refreshing, with a pronounced ‘apple-y’ flavour.
