Plants delivered to your door

We ship to Ireland and Northern Ireland only. Packing and delivery for most orders will be €15 per order. However, larger plants and quantities will incur higher delivery charges (up to €65 for pallet delivery). Delivery charges are calculated and added to your order at the checkout stage.

Plants marked as 'collection/oversize delivery'

All plants that incur higher delivery charges are marked as 'Collection/oversize delivery'. To avoid higher delivery charges simply collect your order yourself from our nursery for free (use code collect at checkout) or select smaller variants while shopping on our store.

The best part about plants is that they grow! We find it far more exciting to order smaller plants, pay less for shipping (and help the planet at the same time), and then watch them grow big in their permanent home.

Delivery

We are currently using An Post, DPD, and Prompto as our delivery providers. Once your order has shipped it may arrive the next day or it can take 2 or 3 days for the parcels to arrive (even longer during the holidays), we take special care to pack our plants in such a way that they will still arrive in perfect condition after several days in transit.
Delivery charges are calculated & added to your order at the checkout stage.

Collection

Orders can be placed online to be collected at the nursery. Please use the discount code collect at the checkout to remove the cost of shipping. It currently takes approximately 2 days to process orders for collection. We will contact you when your order is ready and will be in touch with any issues with availability. Orders must be collected within 2 weeks of placing the order unless otherwise agreed.

Our address for collection is:

Returns and refunds

You can return your plants within 14 days of receiving your order. The plants must arrive back to us in good condition, ideally repacked in the original packaging. You must pay for the return shipping and we cannot refund the original packing and delivery charge. Once we receive the goods and we are happy with the condition we will then refund you via the original payment method.

It can take several days for a refund to show up in your account, we will get in touch to let you know that we have received your returns and that we we are processing the refund.

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with the plants they receive and the service we offer and if there is a problem we will do everything we can to sort it out.

Damaged goods on arrival

We take every care to pack our plants in such a way that they arrive in the best possible condition. In the unlikely event that your plants arrive damaged, please send us a few photos by email so we can assess damage, we will be in touch or call us on 00353 (0)27 66176. Depending on the extent of the damage/availability of the plants, we will send on replacements or offer a refund.

Substitutions

If we are unable to ship a plant or goods on your order we will try our best to contact you in advance of shipping to offer an alternative. If the substitution we offer you is not suitable, we will refund you for that amount. If we are unable to contact you we will ship the rest of the order and refund you for the undeliverable plant(s) or goods.

Items missing from order

If you feel there are plants or items missing from your order, please unpack all the parcels completely and check off each item against your paperwork. Please check and double check the packaging as we often pack plants within other plants to protect them and they can be  easily missed. If you are definitely missing items, please get in touch by email or phone and we will organise replacements or a refund.

Multiple parcels

Occasionally on orders with multiple parcels, the courier may deliver them on separate days. To check this, look at the courier label, it will say how many parcels are in the consignment. If you have any issues, please get in touch by email or phone.

Failed plants

While every care is taken to ensure that your trees arrive in the best of condition, we cannot be responsible for failures due to bad planting, drought, unsuitability of site, chemical spray damage, rabbit damage, strimmer damage, frost, etc.

If your plants appear to be struggling, please get in touch as soon as possible and we will advise on the best steps to take to look after them.

Size guide

Potted plants

9cm pots

A 9cm pot is about the size of a takeaway coffee mug, it is an ideal size for planting Herbs, Alpines & Heathers. We supply some young Trees, Conifers & Shrubs in 9cm pots for cost effective planting, they will just require a little extra care in the first year or two, mainly making sure they don’t get swamped by weeds.

1.3L pots

A good size for Hedging as the plants are not too small but are still good value, we supply some unusual shrubs in this size too.

2L pots

Some young ornamental trees and most common shrubs are available in this cost effective size.

3L pots

A lot of our more unusual Shrubs and some trees are available in this size.

4L, 5L and 7.5L pots

Many trees and more unusual Shrubs are available in these larger sizes, good for a more instant effect.

10L Pots

This size is mainly for ornamental Trees.

Bareroot plants

1-2ft Bareroot

Plants will be easier to plant than larger plants but they will need to be kept totally clear of weeds for them to do well and they will take several years to offer much impact.

2-3ft Bareroot

Plants are a good economical choice, they are nearly big enough to not get swamped by weeds.

3-4ft Bareroot

This size is a good option for tree whips and Hedging as they will be well above any competition from weeds yet the roots won’t be too large for planting and they are not too tall to be knocked around by the elements too much.

4-5ft Bareroot

This size is the best choice for hedging when an instant effect is desired or to get tree whips off to a head start, they will need a larger hole for planting and they will need to be checked that they are not getting loose in the ground from time to time after planting. This size is more likely to get battered by the weather, so in very exposed areas it may be best to plant in March after the worst of the winter has passed. This tree grade may require staking.

For more information about choosing bareroot or potted plants see our guide to bareroot vs. potted.
